How to create a purchase order

Choose Order Blue, Classic Mono, Framed Ledger or Compact Order.
Enter the buyer and supplier details, PO number and order date.
Add the delivery address, required delivery date and quotation reference where needed.
List items with quantities, units, prices and tax percentages. State when payment is due and who is approving the order.
Review all totals and instructions, then sign in and use credits to generate the PDF.

What is included in your purchase order

Buyer and supplier names, addresses and GST registration numbers (GSTIN), if needed.
Order number, order date and optional delivery deadline.
Item descriptions, codes, quantities and units.
Prices in Indian rupees, tax rates for each item and automatic totals.
Payment terms, delivery instructions and space for the supplier to sign.

Make the order specific

Use item descriptions your supplier recognizes and state whether quantities are pieces, boxes or another unit. Add a realistic delivery date and explain when and how you will pay. Check the unit prices and the tax rates you enter; the tool uses these figures to calculate totals but does not choose the correct tax rate for you.

Enter prices before tax. This version does not split taxes into separate CGST, SGST or IGST columns.

Does the purchase order generator calculate totals?

Yes. Each line uses quantity multiplied by unit price, plus the tax percentage you enter. The PDF shows subtotal, tax and the total in INR.

Can I download a purchase order format in Excel or Word?

The current tool offers an online editor and PDF download. It does not export Excel or Word files.

Is a purchase order the same as an invoice?

No. A purchase order tells a supplier what you want to buy. It is not a tax invoice or evidence that payment has been received.

How many credits does generation use?

All four styles use 10 credits per generated PDF. You can review the live preview before generating.
